Hey all new to the forum here....I have an 85 4runner with the 22r fuel injected and a manual tranny. Put a new cd player in yesterday(may be completely irrelevant)shortly after this everytime I try to use a turnsignal the signal will not work, the tach stops working, volt gauge drops, and charge light comes on. Replaced alt and battery having trouble figuring this one out, any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you've got a short somewhere. I'd start with the stereo -review all my fittings/connections & double check what I hooked into. Then I'd look at the turn signal lever to see if there's a worn wire that gets shorted when you activate the lever. If you have a schematic take a look at your systems - then you just have to systematically track down the circuits. It takes time & patience. good luck.
