2006 4runner SR5
On the way home today it started to rain. I turned my wipers on intermittent,,
they worked for a few minutes then I started to smell electrical smell,
Then some smoke started coming up from the steering colum where the wiper's on/off arm enters the steering colum.
( I almost dumped my iced coffee on it!)
I pulled over shut everything down, smoking immediately stopped.
Started it up,, now intermittent won't work at all.. but full speed and fast speed work.
Ok, my question is what melted and what is the part (I'm guessing in the colum) that needs to be replaced???
Local mechanic fix or dealer?
