Electrical Problem

Hello All,

Having an electrical problem, I think. Upon unlocking my 99 4Runner in the am using my keyless entry (FOB) device it unlocks fine in the am. Usually the temperature in Oregon in the am is cool. However, when driving the truck to work and it sitting in the sun all day, the driver side doesn't open. I can hear the electrical system functioning and the locks sound like they are actuating but it never unlocks. The two beeps go off but nothing! Usually it's just the driver side that has the problems, and the passenger side will unlock fine..... Any ideas?

the door lock actuator is probably going bad. you may notice the lockmove a little but not enough to unlock. eventually it will get worse and even seem to move slower until it doesnt work at all.

x2 i have the same issue i need to replace my door actuator lock as well

probably not a bad idea to clean and lube the assembly

My locks do the same thing. Wiggle, a little bit but only lock/unlock 25% of the time.
