Electrical Problem

I've been trying to track down an electrical issue in my 98 4runner.
Intermittently the cruise indicator light, 4-wheel drive light, e-brake light, drivers side of climate control, the rear defroster light and seat-belt light won't work. The systems will (cruise, 4x4) work good. The heat gauge will not work at all and the gas gauge won't move. When it does work all of these lights work.

The problems started after a check engine light causing an ECU replacement.

Been checking grounds, continuity in wires as well as fuses.

1998 toyota SR5, 3.4 v6 manual trans.

Any suggestions?

No single fuse or ground will cause that sh** salad. I'd look for harness damage or a loose harness connector, especially the engine wire to cowl wire connectors by the glove box near where the ECU work was done. Several of the affected circuits go through there.

Or it could always be the cluster had some PCB damage.
