Electrical problem

Want to find out what possibilities are for my electrical problem. '87 t4r 22re manual. Starts and dies. Replaced fuel pump, tried spare ECU and ignitor pack, problem still exsists. Traced power to the fuel pump, good power but only when key is turning the starter. No power to pump with key in on position and no power when key returns to on position after ignition. I am sure it is either in the ignition switch or somewhere under the dash. Which is the best bet and how do I figure this one out? I appreciate any and all input, I am just not sophisticated enough to figure this one out without a pro's help. Thanks,

Does it work if you jump the +B and FP terminals on the test connector?

fuel pump is controlled by a contact in the air flow sensor box, so pump will only turn on when the motor is drawing in air

I'll try jumping the terminals in the test connector and tell you what happens. I sure hope it isn't the AFM.

Ok. I jumped the +B and the FP terminals and it ran just fine. What do i need to do to make it so i can drive it again?

Shorting those 2 terminals bypasses the Circuit Opening Relay and the AFM switch, so it could be either. The AFM sw is probably easiest to access, so try shorting the Green and White/Black stripe wires on that and see how it goes.
