This will accomplish precisely dick. They are a scam.
Only way to protect from something EMP related is a Faraday cage.

This ranks right up there with aftermarket recovery points as far as useless crap to waste money on. Vehicles don't have long enough wiring for EMP to have much affect on them. Worst case scenario, it might stall and you'd have to restart the vehicle. US.gov did testing on this some years back.
