Enable quick reply

After searching for the phrase "enable quick reply" with no good results I am here asking the basic question, how do I enable the quick reply by default, I know how to do it from the backend admin controls, just not from the user settings. Any help? Thanks!

I have been waiting for someone to take a screenshot of their mouse arrow on the quick reply button and post it so no worries....

You have to (as best as I can tell) manually click on the pencil icon in the bottom right corner of any of the posts in the thread, which then allows you to use the 'quick reply' window at the bottom of the screen. If you want to quote that post then you click the "quote post in quick reply" box after you enter the reply. You have to do this every time. If there is a better way, I don't know it.

there is a way to enable it by default, so you just scroll down and start typing.

I haven't found a way to enable it with the options we currently have. Probably an Admin or Software option.
