The Banshee has been throwing code 22 for the past several weeks.
As I understand this is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Code.
Don't know how bad it is right now as the CEL comes on intermittently.

Anyway, I think I found the right location for this sensor by doing some searches on different sights.
If anyone can tell me for certain (I think it's the second one from left to right toward the rear of the block?)

And If anyone has changed the ECT on theirs how hard was is to do?
Do I have to remove the intake or anything else or just get really flexible and crawl my way to it?

Should I use a deep set socket? open wrench?
Totally need suggestions and advice/ Planning to tinker with her tomorrow (Monday) So any help is appreciated

If anyone has a link to the FSM, I'd appreciate that too..

Mine is a 91 Runner Sr5, 3.slow, 5spd, 4x4

Thanks in advanced,
Cynthia

Once you've pulled the intake on the top of the engine, it's relatively simple. Having pulled the intake on our 3VZE multiple times, I'm comfortable, but I can see where this might be daunting. Mark vac hoses and take due caution on the EGR exhaust connections. You might consider resealing the injectors and housing while in there.
