when i press the accelerator fast and let my foot off suddenly the engine dies.....anyone have any thoughts? i am going to see if i can pull some codes to give me a place to start.

it is a 92 v6 auto....i pulled codes but there wasn't any, i replaced rotor, cap, wires, plugs, timing belt, water pump, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, pcv valve. i have on order o2 sensor and a afm. i undid the 2 screws trying to clean my maf sensor but put it back quickly. could this cause a sudden engine kill?? it starts up fine, idles fine cold and warm. when i give it gas it suddenly stops...i can start it up again and if i give it gas again...stoppage....any ideas?
