Engine Oil Overfilled?

So I have the extreme case in a 2011 with 36,000 miles. Turns out the dealer tech either didn't drain original oil or he double filled with new....noticed a slight flutter at idle some time later but didn't tag that to the oil change - thinking it must be some sensor or whatnot so...drove around for a couple of weeks. Stopped in my neighborhood shop and asked for diagnostic, of course they found nothing, mechanic pulled dipstick and made the discovery...drained all out, estimated it was double, refilled with correct amount...flutter went away....I've asked dealer for diagnostic and inspection and of course will be following up with letter to them and Toyota USA in case something shows up later. What type of diagnostics should I ask for? Had someone mention catalytic converter.

I'd make them to a compression/leak down test for sure. If anything went wrong due to poor lubrication then this is the only thing that would show it without tearing the engine down and checking the rod bearings, cam journals, main bearings, cylinder walls, etc. Poor lubrication can cause a shit-ton of problems which may not show up right away. I'd also have the thoroughly check for any oil leaks which could have resulted from the extra oil. Sounds like a warranty extension is in order.
