FWIW Ive seen several videos showing that seafoam, although fun and smokey, is just as, or even less, effective than regular injector cleaners. It should save you some cash.
I've used both and would personally suggest getting some of those less expensive branded item. The only plus of seafoam is that its guaranteed to work on all of those systems, whereas the others most likely will, but aren't advertised as such, and therefore I advise against it.

I use it constantly (at fuel up) on all my vehicles (3rd gen, bwm 330ci, prius, porche + 2 quads + all small engines). I buy it at a lawn mower shop in quart sizes for $20, the quart covers 512 gallons of fuel. Read up on it below. Works for my stuff, everything fires right up.
Many on here also swear by Stabil marine version.

I use a can of Seafoam in the gas tank every 5k or so when its low to clean the injectors. My experience with Seafoam is one of the reasons I use it regularly, though it works best in soaking applications; i.e. de-carboning engines and such over night.

Ive always used the lucas fuel system treatment about every 3rd tank of gas it is usually on sale around here for 10 dollars a qt at oreillys. Never had any problems what so ever
Fuel injector cleaners will only boost performance IF-AND-ONLY-IF there's a problem. And you shouldn't really need one for many thousands of miles.
Octane boost....is total crap. The vehicle can run on 87 Octane..so why do you need to boost the octane.
Oil additives - another waste. Just change your oil regularly per manufacturer specs. Things like slick-50 is complete snake oil..and only fools buy it.

I agree. today's gas, especially Top Tier fuel, has detergents in them that do a great job of keeping your engine clean. I generally think it is a total waste of money for any of it. I do run a can of Seafoam through mine once every year or two just to maybe catch what little is there. . . . more of a mental thing i think. I also do a fair amount of highway driving so that might help also.
One of the complaints I have with the 4runner (actually all new vehicles these days)...is the lack of an easily replaceable fuel filter. What we have is a back flush type system and the filter is inside the gas tank. There are some aftermarket solutions that will replace the fuel pump with a pump inside the tank and a filter outside the tank that you can replace.
My point is..that a fuel cleaner is probably more worth while in the 4runners type of system then the older systems. With the older systems (which I prefer)...you replace a filter - and in doing so it REMOVES the dirt from the fuel system (which is good). The current 4runner setup...the dirt is NEVER REMOVED.
I also have to add that after 260k miles I haven't had any fuel related problems. So maybe the system is a good design.
