Now that I have a vfresh valve job and new head gaskets on my 94 3.0 engine, I'm curious .... how fast can I safely run this engine?
I only had this truck about four months before needing the engine work. It has about 100,000 miles; rest of engine (compression, etc.) checked ok and it's a nice clean rig.
I'm running in the Colorado mountains, about 7000 to 11000 feet elevation.
I need to keep this thing wound up a bit to hold speed on the highway, but what's the max rpm I should run for any length of time? (It's a 5-speed manual trans).
I don't want to hold up traffic, but I don't want to cause any engine damage. This valve job/head gasket deal was $$$ enough.
Thanks for your help.
