its not a bolt up deal. anything CAN be done, but from the sounds of it thats more work than you would want. the 3VZE mounts dont line up with the 22RE. the R150 or R151 trans mounts dont line up with the W56 trans mounts. the slave cylinders are on opposite sides, and not sure, but i heard rumours that the drive shafts are different lengths. the ecu's are different, but since they shared the same body, im sure if you obtained a wiring diagram, you could mate the wiring harnesses. it is possible with welding skills
(for adapter plates) and some electronic skills, you could make this work, but think of all the HG problems the 3VZE had. try chevy small block 350 or 327 or 400, or 305, or 383 stroker if you wanted. you would need a THM350 or 400 trans, and even more fabrication, but minus the majority of wiring skills as there is no ecu with carbs. or keep it yota and got for a 5MGTE or 7MGTE or make your 4runner run less than ten seconds and drop in a 2JZ-GTTE
