While I don't have first hand knowledge, Id say a waste of time and money.
With the current cost of parts for newer vehicles, wiring, and so forth you'd be better off selling your V6 vehicle and buying the V8 vehicle.

You dont do an engine swap with an engine that is an option in that vehicle. Sell your V6 and get a V8.
An engine swap involves say swapping the 5.7L into a 4R.
