Engine Upgrade Question

Quick question, I have a 95 4runner limited with a 3vze and manual 5 speed. I want to drop a chevy 350 under the hood and run larger tires on it (will lift and sawzall). My question is if I change the bellhousing an run the current tranny, will it hold up to the torque of the 350 running 40" tires with 4.56 gears or should I change to a chevy transmission as well?

I have had a 90 4runner once but it is was all stock. I am looking at turning this one into a toy. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Not only won't the stock trany hold up to a 350, but the stock axles won't hold up to 40" tires.

And 4.56 gears is too high for 40" tires.
 
I guess that answers my question on the tranny. I am surprised to see that the axles wont hold up though. From what I have read about them I thought they were considered to be strong comparitively to the ford 9". I have never used one for anything other than stock so I do not know. Does anyone else have any feedback on these axles?
