engine won't start after Timing belt install

OK I finally have an update on this issue.I had spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting almost every sensor in the engine bay, testing them using the FSM procedure and I could not find anything out of spec . I checked for fuel and I was getting fuel and I check for spark and I was getting spark . I checked timing over and over and over again and everything looked good , could not find what was causing the problem

Long story short it was the MAF after all. Even though it past the resistance test in the FSM apparently cleaning it caused it to go bad in someway to not allow the engine to start. I even used special MAF cleaner from crc.

So I guess the lesson learned, don't clean your MAF and don't make too many changes at once??

Here is a list of all the things I did during this job :
Timing belt
Water pump
Plugs/ wires
Coolant hoses
Belts
Cleaned MAF
Trans cooler/ new lines
New radiator
New oil cooler hoses

In hindsight I probably should have only done the timing belt job and save the other items for another day .

Glad that you found the issue, must be a huge relief! I couldn't agree more with the "don't change too many things at once" conclusion! I've been burned more than once doing too many things in one day and then trying to figure out which one was the culprit.

So I definitely became a convert to one thing at a time, other than when there are huge benefits to combining tasks (e.g replace tensioners/water pump/etc when doing the timing belt). That's why I decided to do valve cover gaskets as a separate project from the timing belt.

Thanks for the reminder!
