I just updated to Lollipop on my Android device and so far having nothing but issues. Pandora doesn't work now, neither does any internet connection app like weather, sports, iheart, slacker.

Anyone have any success with this update and Entune?

Hi gamester,

I have Kitkat 4.4., the version of Android just before Lollipop was released, and it has no compatibility issues; Perhaps take one step back until android can work out the bugs... just my 0.2 cents.

They call it the "bleeding edge" for a reason. I recommend you let others upgrade from perfectly working software first.

My new Edge, running Lollipop, is also having problems. Hopefully Android figures this out quickly. I went from iPhone OS to Android and may never go back to iPhone. I can wait for this to get sorted out.

prior to the last entune app update on phone/head unit, had no issues with my galaxy S5 and android 5.

after the entune update, Pandora randomly will get a tether error. usually I have to manually start the entune app on the phone and turn off Pandora on the headunit and start Pandora again.

Prior to Lollipop I had zero issues with Pandora or anything else. I have a Galaxy Note 3 and it has been a great phone, Now moving to Lollipop has really hurt my connectivity to Entune.

They say the solution is do a factory reset on the phone but I would really like to avoid that. Or move back to KitKat but I hear it can be difficult on a Samsung device.

Maybe its time to root that phone! Samsung Galaxy phones are relatively easy to root, and you can pick and choose what version os you want, as well as have the ability to stop OTA updates to the os.

Every device in my household has been rooted and none of us have had an issue with them since rooting them! As a bonus, our phones/tabs have been much faster loading apps and doing stuff on them!

Just throwin' out a different idea to fix the entune issue once and for all. I'm a "KISS" kinda guy, if the phone works without issues, why update the os, or any of the apps if there's no problem? Surely I don't need any more bloatware on the phone from Verizon (my carrier), so being able to stop all of that is more than reason enough to root everything I own.

factory reset DIDNT resolve my issue.

since its the app on the headunit and phone that are having issues. lollipop updated before the entune app updated and I had no issues.

Not sure what your issue is. I'd try re-loading the app first.

My entune - 2015 with the recent update we all got a month ago - works seamlessly with a galaxy s5 and lollipop. Worked with my S4 too.

I will try the above and see if it solve any issues. I will also un-pair from the Runner and see if the tethering issue fixes itself.

Thanks NoDak for the information. Any info I get in helping resolve this issue I will post. Maybe we can find a solution without having to reinvent the wheel.

I tried Jetboy's suggestion of re installing the app and it looked like that was the answer but today when I went to play Pandora it gave me the same tethering issue. Same with iheart and slacker.

I will now try removing the phone from bluetooth on the runner and my phone and see if this helps at all.
