Since the warm weather broke and I've been cruising with the windows down I have been ignoring this squeaky rattle over all small and large bumps and dips. Chased it down and found some broken clips on my passenger fender. Replaced the clips and also had a few busted mounts that I epoxied back and beefed up.
Went to get an alignment at the old shop I used to work at and found the rear bolts on the lower control arm bushings were seized and not allowing any adjustment. I tried various things to free them with no luck. Bit the bullet and purchased some new LCAs and SPC cam bolts. Cut the old bolts out and bolted up the freshies!
New ebay uniball UCAs have been sitting on my workbench for a few weeks waiting to be installed so I can pull my alignment specs back in where they need to be. Also grabbed the diff drop and front sway bar drop plates while I was at it.

We had some really nasty wind and rain storms the past few weeks and I wound up with some water in my headlight. Pulled the housing and baked it in the oven, opened her up and cleaned out all the water. New butyl tape to seal and re-baked and clamped her off. Good as new!

Seems like a common issue in the North East.
How long did this take? I wanted to take mine out and paint the insides black.

Since the last update I have upgraded to a Scion touch screen unit with full bluetooth integration. Works great and sounds worlds better!
I also finally got around to putting on my uniball UCAs, sway bar relocation kit and differential drop. I have to say that these mods really changed the way the truck feels and handles. So much better! It tracks very straight, doesnt get nasty bump steer anymore and handles more like a sports car, like its on rails.

What brand control arms are those/where did you get them? I need a set, was looking at the SPC arms for $450.
Also, you said you replaced the both entire LCA's because of seized cam bolts. Did you replace both with full OEM Toyota arms? (Bushings & Ball joints included)?
Amazing looking truck man. Pristine. Also it makes me happy seeing others who are running 265/70/17's haha I sometimes feel unworthy on this forum without 285's !
These are the ebay uniball control arms. There is a thread somewhere on here that lists all the sellers but they are all the same part/manufacturere just listed under a different name essentially.
I replaced the LCA's, correct. They were not OEM but rather some aftermarkets. I had a coupon and I grabbed them super cheap.
I appreciate the compliments. It's no longer pristine after my cross-country trip but Ill get her cleaned up again soon!
265s are perfect for my needs. Mostly street driven daily. I wheel it maybe once or twice a month if I can get out and even then, nothing too technical. Skinnys have their place. Ive done tons of research and most of the overland guys actually prefer skinnys. Fat tires just look so much cooler :-\ oh well! more MPG for me!

Have the cheap upper and lower control arms been holding up well for you? I need all my ball joints and tie rods replaced so was considering a cheap brand of some sort. I would like Toyota OEM but the cost is too prohibitive. What brand are the LCA's?
No issues with either. I did have to replace the sleeves that came with the UCAs because the company was providing everyone with sleeves that were too short but that was a simple fix. OEM would have cost me about 4-5x as much. The uppers I purchased from Lift Option. Lots of guys are running them. They are basically Camburg knockoffs but the term"knockoff" is used loosely as these are very high quality. The lowers are from CarPart Wholesale

It wasnt difficult. Press the old ones out, pop out the bushings, grease the new bushings and slide them in and then I used a C-clamp to get the new sleeves seated properly. No trimming was needed
I dont use it that often actually. I have found a place for everything inside all my cargo storage areas so the net doesnt really see any use.
It was a tad more than refinishing my original bumper. I paid $280 for the pre-painted one

What is the differential drop and what does it do? And what's the point to the sway bar relocation?
