Error Codes

Well the infamous error codes P0446, P0441 and P0455 have hit my 4Runner. I have had the truck about three months so I still know little about it. About 215000 on it.

Happened when me and the wife were driving around looking XMAS lights. I immediately went to AutoZone to have the codes read.

I have been reading everything posted on the site about it. Could be the gas cap but probably not. Could be the Evap Canister or one of the three switches. It also does not sound like the dealership will be much help.

Hey! I am going through a journey of fixing my evap system as well (although my codes are different (P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419)) which is most likely the canister (since people on Tacoma forum had the same codes and it was indeed the canister). Please post in here whatever you find out as it may help other people not to diagnose it twice.

First, check after reading lots of info on the site, I checked the gas cap and it is indeed very loose and I doubt very much if it's sealing.

Ordered a Toyota OEM gas cap off Amazon. I should have that by Friday.

Well received my new gas cap and will do a poor man's reset on the codes and see what happens.

On a side note, ordered what I thought were 4 bulbs for Climate Control display but only received one so I guess will change the one and see what happens.
