Ethanol vs non Ethanol Fuel

I've read a lot of forums and write ups about the ethanol in fuel. I live in Oregon where ethanol is pretty standard now. My runner did come from Utah where I believe doesn't have ethanol. I've noticed a drop in mileage after the first 90 days of ownership. Has anyone else experienced this. I figured it would be more correct to ask people that drive Toyota 4runners. I know fuel economy is a boring topic, but any thoughts would be sweet!

04' v8 was getting 17/18 city..... now I get 14 maybe.
Oh and I run a mid grade as well

Here in Iowa they have been using 10% on mid grade ethanol since the late 80's. With the Gov't subsidies it's actually cheaper for mid grade than the regular that has no ethanol, so I've always use the mid grade. Yes you do get less mileage with ethanol and it drops more the higher the percentage. It's basically a big scam, the gov't gives subsidies to the ethanol suppliers so it can compete. If it was evenly priced with regular gasoline it would cost more per gallon. google ethanol scam and youll get a ton of explanations better than mine.

Never had any mechanical issues with the 10% blend. It actually works pretty good in the winter since it has more alcohol content and keeps gas lines from freezing.
