Exact battery cable lengths for OME replacement with OEM battery oriented posts.

I've been through too many "The Big 3" threads and still not clear on the exact lengths needed for both the positive and negative cabling lengths and what size lug eyes for each end of them.

Looking at replacing positives from batt post, and the negatives from batt post. That's it. I can't find a local place I can buy them by the inch off a spool so I'm searching Amazon etc but need the lengths and lug sizes.

Buy 10' of each, and if you are doing a big 3, then there are 3 gauges of wire used

2GA for POS and NEG mains
4GA for alt to fuse box
8GA for NEG to fender well

If you just want to freshen up the wiring, and aren't going to run extra load, you can go 4GA across the board (omitting 2GA) since that is about stock gauge

Either way, reuse the POS BAT to fusebox cable since it's a bear to R&R

Is the alt to fuse box hard to remove on the fuse box end? Thanks for the help, this wiring is going towards fixing my emissions problems in my other long drawn out thread lol.

No, the alt to fuse box is easy, it's the big bolt on the top on the inboard side. The battery to fuse box is not easy to remove, LOL, which is why the commercial Big 3 kits recommend leaving that one in place.
