Both of the aftermarket cats on my Runner have these flimsy heat shields welded to the external cat body. They vibrate.
The stick-on insulation thingy behind the front cat has died and fallen off my truck.
So, I want to do two things--rip off those flimsy shields and put some kind of custom shield in place to protect things from heat.
Any suggestions for what I might consider putting together? I want to make sure everything is alright heat-damage wise. Not sure if the O2 sensors are vulnerable.
I want to stay away from welding, as I don't have access to that equipment and I want to keep things confined to my labor for $$$ reasons.
