Exhaust help

I'm needing a cat-back exhaust system for my 88 4runner. I took it to the local muffler shop and it's a $300 plus job. Any body have a cheaper way to pass TX inspection?

$300 sounds about right if you need the CAT. I replaced my entire system with stainless from LC Engineering but the parts alone are closer to $500. Of course I'm from the "do it right and forget about it" school of engineering.

Sorry I can't suggest anything less expensive.

Cheapest way is to do it yourself. You can get the parts for around a hundred or so and put them on . Lots of room to work under there. At that price you won't be getting the highest quality parts but you will get the job done cheaply.
