Exhaust question

Any of you mechanics in Westchester County, NY. My exhaust has detached itself (read snapped) from the rear end of the muffler. Will I need a new exhaust to pass the Westchester emissions test during my yearly inspection in November?

The pipe is slightly rusted, not gonna be welded back together unless cutting is involved. The joys of heat and NY winters...

Mine did the same thing a few months ago. Pics at the bottom. I went to a local mechanic that specializes in custom exhausts and they said they could just weld t.he tail pipe back on to the muffler. Cost me about $40 and took them about 30min.

mine did the same thing I ended up buying a bosal muffler from partsgeek, had to cut the old pipe from the exit pipe because the bolts were so rusted they looked melted. so far so good.

Is the Bosal sound similar to a stock muffler? I just installed a Magnaflow and it's got to come of this weekend, can't stand it, haha.
