Exhaust System Options for '99 Limited 3.4l 6 cyl

After searching previous posts and digging through any current exhaust questions/polls I'm still looking for some additional opinions. My stock setup is pretty much toast and I'm considering options for replacement and wouldn't mind not even seeing an exhaust component unless I crawled under the vehicle. Dumping the exhaust straight down under the vehicle would be preferred.

Objectives:
1. Cost < $700
2. Performance
3. Sound = the quieter the better
4. Looks are not a concern as I would prefer not to see it unless under the vehicle

Does anyone have experience, or suggestions, with a simple, effective, durable and relatively quiet system (full, cat-back or other)?

There are not many complete systems for the 3rd Gens, and none that I know of that have a dump. I've actually forgotten them all except for the Borla cat back system.

You might be better off just going to an exhaust shop and telling them what you want. You could probably get out for under $400.

Good suggestion Clemsonfan15 and I'm pursuing that option. I was just hoping with the wealth of experience on this forum somebody had tried a similar setup and could share their experience. I'll see what I can come up with (and still pass emissions) with some local sources.

Is anyone currently running a setup that will still pass emissions testing but isn't utilizing the stock cats? I haven't seen much feedback from people that have gone with aftermarket options.
