Exhaust V8

You posted this vid on a previous thread and because of that I ordered the same muffler. Should be here tomorrow, hopefully I can get it installed this weekend and replace the Magnaflow I have on now.
Can't wait. I just hope it doesn't drone on the highway.
Thanks for taking the time to do this.

To be honest, the 50 SUV I have does have some resonance at highway speeds. But, like I stated in my thread, (at highways speeds) the wind noise in a 4Runner is more prevalent (in comparison to my muffler noise). And, in comparison to the stock sawdust muffler, any free flow muffler will have some type of drone. I think it depends on one's tastes and needs. Some guys would love a 44 series Flowmaster but it would be too loud for my tastes (and ever growing age).

I have a 2008 4Runner V-8 and have the Gibson.

It makes the truck comparable to a stock exhaust on a GM or Ford v8 from the factory. Not overbearing but people who sit in usually say...did you add exhaust? it sounds good.

it definitely has a purr factor to it.

under load (towing) or accelerating heavily or going up hills it definitely has a more noticeable growl but never overbearing, ever. downshifting sounds great too.

when you really nail it, it sounds like a small block chevy. love it. it could be louder...but you know the sound quality is more important than sound quantity
