Didn't even know this thread was around.
I had the pleasure of checking out some of the vehicles at a buddy's shop a few years back(maybe only a year back....grad school fried my brain).
My buddy helped in driving the 4Runner back to the States and was the impetus for him getting rid of his 100 Series for a 5th Gen. Ultimately, these two things were a big influence on me getting my own 5th gen.
I can't recall meeting the actual Owners, but I figure if they're friends with my friends, they gotta be decent.
Now I need to go watch some episodes to see what th buzz is about.

Enjoyed the episode. I've been waiting for the Peru section I have a second home and family in the Amazon basin of Pucallpa, however I've been all over the country and a lot of the continent also.
I was curious how you all would handle the altitude around that area. Even the well travelled might say there is definitely something different in the air there. Solo'd a 3 month trip years ago up to 17k and altitude sickness put me down for a day and a half (re-hydration salts and a Andean tea did wonders).
And Lima traffic hmm fun...

Kurt's awesome, I've ordered parts from him numerous times and he's always super helpful. He sounds exactly the same on the phone as he does in the show too, which for some reason I always get a kick out of haha.
