Extended Warranty $835.00 Group Buy

So............... speaking for myself I think that this is a good deal. I am satisfied that the person selling it is qualified to sell it. In addition, from what I have learned.

1) you can buy a warranty when you purchase a used Toyota.

2) you can buy a warranty for your already warrantied vehicle is < 36K and <3 yrs old.

Annoyed what do you think?

If you are in doubt please call Neil. The price individually that I received was $870.00 and for a group of 4 or more it is $850.00 so no big whup.

Lets give it a couple weeks and see who is down. Is that a reasonable thing for you guys?..

As another point of reference this is the extended warranty deal I got when I purchased my 4Runner:

2006 4Runner purchased as Toyota Certified Used Vehicle on 12/31/2007

7 years/100,00 miles powertrain +
7 years/100,00 miles mechanical failure service contract Platinum Warranty

$875.00 with $50.00 deductible

- transferable to new owner
- 100,000 miles is not in addition to the current mileage; once the truck odometer hits 100K it's expired
- Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Extended Warranty but is administered by Fidelity Warranty Services
- There is an exception for the use of oversized tires or any alteration not authorized by the factory (you all might want to ask if your warranty has these exceptions)

No Problem. It sounds like a good deal.

They replaced my Navigation unit no questions asked @ $2,169.94 so it was worth it IMHO.

Now that is a heck of a deal!! wowser. one repair worth it. sweet.
 
I purchased the Toyota ext. warr (Platinum) that I referred to from the selling dealer, when I purchased my T4R used. At that time, it had 58K miles on it, considerably over 36K.

Something's not making sense here. Alot of different figures being tossed about.

As far as it being worth it, they are covering the seat replacement (see the "seat noises" thread started by myself.. so it's already paid for itself.

they are simply bidding down to get our deal. its pretty transparent.:biggrin2:

You can buy a used car and purchase a contract from the selling dealer at any mileage if the Toyota dealer inspects it and Certifies it.

You can buy a contract for your currently warranties vehicle at any time if less than 3 years old and less than 36,000 miles.

That is the major difference.

This is a buy for those people in the second category.

For anyone who wants to get a warranty. I would strongly encourage you to have a one on one phone conversation with these guys. Their contact information is in this thread.

Neil will send/fax a copy of the contract and what is covered BEFORE you plunk down ANY of your hard earned money. I assume Jake would do the same. That way you can ask any questions you want and be satisfied that you are getting an excellent protection for your 4Runner.
