Yes but I would just call Neil Hull at the contact information. he is dialed in to your questions. Factory yes 3rd party NO. Just tell him you are on T4R.org Alaskaman and he should be able to answer your questions..........

Besides that I would not steer a man from PA wrong. Neil is pretty well known for being the extended warranty Ninja. Sure he can email you what is covered and what is not...........gotta be comfy to throw down $850 clams for sure.

Just like i did with my minivan, i think that $850 for 7/100k warranty (0 deduct) is a bargain! Trust me, my Mercedes ext. warranty is 4 x that amount!! Mercedes parts are painfully expensive. My Acura TSX ext. warranty 7/120k miles is $1055. I purchased one for my TSX because of the "Honda transmission" demons.

I think it's a good price though I wish someone would be in the $780 range. I want it simply for the electronics and XREAS. you can bet at 95K I am going to be having the Beast looked over with a spectron microscope for leaks in that system.

Don't forget about the transmission or the Navigation system or the stereo system or the starter and the exhaust manifold cracks (if you have a V8). (And if you have a minivan like me, then those nifty power sliding doors are killers on your wallet!)

I don't think I will have issues but one issue is worth $850. in my opinion. some are worth much more!

My brother's LX470 (which shares the same V8 engine as the 4runner V8) just had his manifold fixed (on one side) for over $1000 at Lexus. And that is just ONE side.

no this is 7 years from the buy date or 100K miles whichever comes 1st.

That being the case, how can this be a legitimate offer? If at some time in the future, they wish to deny a claim, the "after the vehicle purchase sale" seems to be a hole you can drive a Battlestar through.

I forwarded your question Annoyed. Thanks for watching our backs. I believe that the difference is this. In that quote it says your used vehicle (meaning you are purchasing a used car). We all own vehicles which are currently under warranty and therefore we are seeking to extend of warranty. Neil typically responds in the AM. Will be interested in his "official response". We are planning to buy an extended warranty for our 4Runners all of which are currently under warranty and are less than 3 years old with less than 36,000 miles. May we buy this extended warranty at any Factory authorized Toyota dealer? Also, on your site it says this extension "may only be purchased at the time you purchase your used vehicle". Does this apply to our vehicles which are as described above? <36,000 miles and < 3 years old?

for what it's worth, i bought my used 2005 Limited V8 (Sept 2008) from the dealer with 42K on the odometer. I bought the Platinum extended warranty from them for about $1500 which gave me another 5 years and 50K miles.

you guys can work out the math on where you are and how long you want to keep your car to see just how good this group buy deal is.

one thing i think is important is to make sure it's transferable if you sell the truck before the 7yrs or 100K is up.
