It is my understanding from the dealer last night, as well as the person that is providing quotes in this thread, that the warranties are concurrent. That is why many people choose to wait until closer to the end of Factory to purchase.

Some auto manufactures are doing away with out of state warranty purchases. Toyota cracked down and shut off several avenues about 4 years ago, mainly targeting internet direct sales.

These good deals can dry up over night. My first good contact DOUBLED the price over night about 3 years ago and I found another source.

Also, makes no difference if you buy now or later it still covers the same time and mileage.

Keep in mind people the warranty you purchase is AFTER your factory warranty but must be purchased during your factory warranty mileage or time frame, 3 years from the date it was driven off the lot BRAND NEW or 36,000 miles.

For example if you buy a 8 year - 100k plan the first 3 years are still under manufactures warranty so you are covered for FIVE years and 100,000 miles.

Many think the warranty takes effect after the manufactures expires and that is not the case.

as stated from Gamester, the person who gets the quotes out and the same information I received from the dealer, The timelines do NOT stack. In Gamesters example, an 8 yr/100K warranty is used for the example. Per the breakdown, it is 5 years on TOP of the factory 3 years.

If you're getting quoted differently make sure you confirm the actual end dates on the paperwork I guess - could be wrong just would be very surprised as it's different than what most have seen.

Can you message the extended warranty contact again? I'm not sure if it's changed since I bought my T4R, but I have a family member who just bought a RAV4 and is wanting an extended warranty on it (I was told the dealer wanted $6k+ for the 7/125!!).

This is correct, you buy a 10 year warranty the first 3 are your standard factory warranty so really you are buying a 7 year extended warranty.

Hi Steve, your vehicle is beyond the factory 3 years and 36,000 mile warranty so the deal I have would not be eligible.

I am sure there are some 3rd party warranties out there that could be found, sorry about that.
