So far the feedback on the new dealer and salesman have been VERY GOOD. People have given me stories on how they saved thousands vs what their own dealer wanted to charge.

One thing to look out for when signing your final purchase of your 4Runner is when they show you the payment, and then the payment with the warranty added on is just like a little bit more per month, ask them what the price of the warranty is... You will fall out of your chair when you hear the price. Save your money and get the same warranty for thousands less, and without paying interest on it!!

I got my 4runner in September, and a '16 Highlander for my wife last night. Both times I had to sit through long sale pitches for EW and similar add-on coverages. Neither offered to disclose the full cost, just the 'few dollars a month' number. The Higlander full 'premium protection package' (EW, lowjack, gap insurance, etc) was about 130 extra, or about 8k, even at 0% financing. Ouch... does anyone actually fall for that? Got a great deal on both Toyotas, and I wasn't about to ruin that with buying way overpriced coverages. Still not sure if I will get EW for both SUVs but I will be contacting Gamester for pricing. The 100k EW was 2.7k...

Interestingly, the Highlander dealer had a 'feature' in the EW coverage that if it was never used, I'd get all the premium back after it expired. This was a no-brainer to him and he seemed very surprised I still said no.

I also have a 4Runner and a Highlander (2014R and 2012H) and I was able to get them both on an EW deal. The one you were quoted should be over $1K less than that.

I remember the LONG winded sales pitch each time, save your breath guy, I am not buying!!

Just got email confirmation that the prices Gamester is providing are up to date. I'll be purchasing soon. His connection also mentioned that this is the same Platinum preferred EW that the dealer was offering for about $2K less! (Depending on Miles/Years)

Anyway, just picked up my new '16 4Runner LE on Thursday. Woohoo!!!
Love the car...but an already trying to decide on an EW. I got quoted $1,500 for 7/100k in finance at the dealership...

I just paid 1595 for a 10 year 100k warranty when I bought my 4runner last night. Does that sound like a good deal? I thought it was reasonable.

From the dealership, that doesn't sound too bad, although I didnt know you could get a 10yr, I thought it only went to 8@125

She said the 10 year was just released in august. I wanted the max amount of time because I'm lucky to 8k a year on a car ( well I put 35k miles on my company truck a year).

interesting since Toyota financial website still only shows 8/125 top plan.

are you sure its a Toyota VSA and not a 3rd party?

Yes I called gamsters contact and he confirm the warranty and gave me a better price also. Not as much of a savings as I've read about for other people. He said I got a pretty good deal.
