FWIW, when I told the dealership’s F&I guy that I was going to get the extended warranty elsewhere, he said he’d be able to match/beat anyone’s price.
When I received Gamester’s info, I emailed him back. But I told him I wanted his best price (rather than telling him Gamester’s quote). It seemed unfair that Gamester should make a blind quote for this guy to simply poach it. If his blind quote was better, I was going to go with him.
A week later, I have not yet heard back from him. Cold feet, perhaps. Who knows? I found it interesting that he didn’t seem interested in going quote for quote against someone he knew would be competitive. I’m guessing he sells enough EWs at his price that he can afford to lose a less lucrative sale and keep is best offer to himself.

Thanks for the update Phyzman,
They all tend to say they can match any other price and they just hope that your matching it against another dealer that still has them marked up too high.
When I bought my new Tundra he said the same thing, then I gave him the number and he says... "That's below my cost" This is the answer most will give as well. Then they come back and price it $100 above these numbers and say this is the best they can do.
Why don't they just give you that price to begin with?? It's criminal and that's why I continue to try to help members save money and give the dealers less, they already make plenty.

I didn't read this whole thread so pardon my lack of knowledge here. [MENTION=108754]gamester5[/MENTION], how does this work? Are you in the business of selling warranties via an insurance company or something? I'll presume it's all legit? :biggrin2: Meaning, we are comparing apples to apples in terms of coverage, deductibles, etc. Full disclosure, I'm still in the shopping/comparison phase for a 4R but certainly would be interested in saving a few bucks when the extended warranty option is presented.
