I didn't read this whole thread so pardon my lack of knowledge here. [MENTION=108754]gamester5[/MENTION], how does this work? Are you in the business of selling warranties via an insurance company or something? I'll presume it's all legit? :biggrin2: Meaning, we are comparing apples to apples in terms of coverage, deductibles, etc. Full disclosure, I'm still in the shopping/comparison phase for a 4R but certainly would be interested in saving a few bucks when the extended warranty option is presented.

I sell nothing and make zero on passing on my contacts information to members. These are exact, apples to apples, Platinum Toyota Care EW's.

The contact I provide is a Toyota dealership Finance person who completes the transaction. Once again, I make nothing on passing on this info, just a smile on my face knowing the stealerships are making less on something they should have set prices on and provide Toyota customers a consistent, one price platform.

You’re buying from an actual toyota dealership. It’s good to go, I got mine from them too.

I’ve bought it two from gamesers context. Both showed up. First is for my ‘’14 T4R, second is for my wife’s ‘19 Rav4. Different guy 4 years apart but same dealership. I used the warranty last month on the T4R. Has 93k miles at this point and front right caliper had broken. Got it replaced at zero cost thru the warranty. It’s Toyota OEM warranty.

Hello Arehman,

Unfortunately you are beyond the factory warranty of 3 years / 36,000 miles so you wouldn't be eligible for these deals. I'm sure there are some 3rd party options out there for you.

Does that apply to vehicles that are Certified Preowned but still with the additional
"Bumper to bumper " warranty period they come with?

It would still need to be within the original factory warranty period of 3 years / 36,000 miles if purchased used or new.

New Here - First 4runner

Hi there - lurked on the forum before I purchased, and finally registered so I could get a quote for a sweet deal on an extended warranty. Dealer quoted me $1350 for 10 year/100k warranty, but I inherently distrust dealers so I passed until I could do more research. Usually have low miles (walk a lot, ride bikes, live close to work, etc.) but do a lot of road trips and have lots more planned now that I have a rear locker.

I purchased my 2014 T4R TE in 2014 and I did get the platinum warranty. It has paid for itself. I used it to replace all 4 door actuators that failed, the park neutral safety switch recently failed, and a brake issue a couple years ago. I have never bought one before but I am happy I did. I don't plan to buy another because I plan to have this 4Runner forever

I have about 20,000 miles and a year left on it in case anything else goes wrong.

You can certainly wait if you wish. The problem is sometimes these good deals dry up or go up in price. My contact before this one 4 years ago doubled their price overnight.

Also does not matter if you buy now or later, the coverage dates and mileage wouldn't change.
