2 years after your post now... but in the same situation. How did the cancellation process work and then getting a new/post purchase policy? Does the dealership you bought from get notified or don’t they care either way?

If you financed then they just take it off the balance, so you don't pay interest on it and the dealership could care less. Contact them or Toyota Corp and let them know you want to cancel the EW.

Then you can contact any dealer to get a better price as long as you are within the original warranty period of 3 years - 36,000 miles.

Is this the factory warranty for all years pertaining to 4Runners from production? When I purchased my vehicle used, it only had ~1k miles on it. I think they told me factory warranty expired at 25k when I purchased the vehicle through them. I initially bought an EW through them and canceled the next day because of their ridiculous marked up price on the EW.
