EZpass transponder hot weather ungluing. Who's got best remedy?

I got my EZpass transponder on the 3rd gen in front of the rear view mirror stuck to the windshield with glued velcro. Tried a couple different types. The hot weather has it falling off constantly, if not that, a slow slide down the glass like a glacier.
What is the best method or material to use? Is there some velcro glue that doesn't melt on a sun baked windshield? I'm in Massachusetts, so there's regions much hotter than mine. I can't always park in the shade.

I use the 3M VHB tape and it works well in 100 degree weather, but I havnt tried the velcro version.

The ezpasses in our work vehicles use the clear 3M "dual lock" velcro, haven't seen any fail even during these last heat waves.

My tollway transponder (Illinois I-Pass) is also attached behind my rear view mirror with velcro, and it hasn’t moved at all in several years. Maybe the Massachusetts transponder is a lot heavier than the Illinois transponder. I looked it up using google, and it looks a little bigger. Do you have the newer, smaller transponder or the much larger old one? I just bought some random velcro at the store, and it has worked great. My 4Runner is always parked outside, so it’s never away from the sun/heat in the summer.

Are you using one big piece of velcro? If so, I don’t know if it will help you, but the back of the Illinois transponder is sort of rectangular, and I put squares of velcro at the left and right edges of the transponder. So far, so good.

I used some random stuff I bought at Walmart and I think Lowes too. I cut full a full size square for maximum area. But like you said, my old transponder may be bigger. I just bought a Sprinter van and need to register it, I'll see if they give me a new smaller transponder.

Does MA not send your EZpass with that 3M velcro? That stuff will definitely do the trick.

My toll and hov pass came with the sticky tape attached peeled the sticker, cleaned the glass surface with alcohol pressed it on and 5 years later still good.
