Can someone post some pics of the factory nav unit pulled out? I'm looking for pics of the back, top, sides and bottom. I don't want to pull mine out yet if I don't have to. thanks

I don't think anyone else took theirs out yet.
The middle vents are attached to as in the pics I already removed them. Hope that helps!

Drove 6300 miles in July with it and the Pioneer has been flawless with 130gb of music on my Ipod classic. The free bypass let the kids watch DVDs on the move the whole trip and kept them occupied, plus they could plug in their ipods.
The Tomtom nav in these couldn't find one address for a hotel in Wytheville,Virginia and my sisters lake house in Pa. so it took me to Main Street both times!? My daughter had to pull out my Iphone and it found it!
I would rather have Garmin software then Tomtom for nav but I'm getting used to it.The factory navs use tomtom also. At least tomtom doesn't drive you crazy saying "recalculating" lol
Harper...question for you (you seem to know about this type of modification extensively)
My wife and I got an SR5 (which we love by the way!) not too long ago but I wish I would have gotten the NAV unit with it. We just felt it was too expensive for what it was.....but I really dig the in dash look and functionality as opposed to an exterior unit.
If I were to buy something like what you have shown us in the above pics.(I really like the stock toyota nav)..how compatible or incompatible would it be with our SR5....would it be just a plug and play ...or would I have to do some serious re-wiring to replace the factory stock radio with this one???
At first instance it seems like it might work since the climate control stuff is independent on both the Sr5 and limited....but our SR5 dooes not have a GPS antenna...so I am not sure how easy it would be to install this....mainly curious at this point??
cheers
