Factory XM Question?

If you have a 4Runner with factory XM, can you replace the HU with say a Pioneer HU and still have the XM work. I know that the factory XM is made by Pioneer, but it uses the toyota plug. Has anybody done this, if so do they make some sort of harness or adapter?

Mine says XM ready but I don't have XM.

If you have XM Radio already, before you replaced your HU, I think you just have to call XM Radio and tell them your new unit number for activation. Assuming of course your new HU has XM built in.
