Faint "whirring" noise, then a click (under passenger side of truck)

I just noticed an odd sound that comes from under neath the passenger side of the truck. Sounds right about where their feet would be.

it happens sometimes when decelerating (or maybe that's just when I can hear it)

it's 1-2 seconds of a faint spinning noise (something electrical I think..) then a faint click (similar to the click in/out of 4WD) the click stops the whirring/spinning noise.

Any idea? happens like every 30 seconds or so.

sounds like it's on the outside. The rear heater is off too. Not sure if the fan still runs.

Pretty sure that's not it.

Underneath the passenger seat theres a fan. Sounds like its going out.

i have the same issue. whirring, then a click from the passenger side fender area. def not ac or the fan under the seat. i actually thought it was the power antenna motor cause this is bad on my vehicle, but i disconected the motor and i still hear the noise.

if anyone else know what this could be? weird noises like this really tick me off!

Oh man this has been driving me crazy, but I had no idea what to search for. I would say it almost sounds like a pump engaging for a bit before it eventually clicks off.

Anyone try to just let their truck idle and see if they hear it? I'm about to post up next to mine and see if I can catch it in the act...

I have the same sound coming from passenger side. It happens right after start up and lasts a few seconds. I haven't heard it at any other time.

Huh I didn't know third gens got hydraboost later on.... cool.

I thought we were talking about something around the rear passenger seats for some reason. lol.
