Fan control wiring

Anyone have the 97 (lever) and 98-99 (dial) fan switch wiring? I swapped out mine to the dial unit but on power the fan is on when the switch is in the off position and the illumination lights are on. In my research I did not see anyone mention the electrical was different. But now that I think about it I used the 98-99 AC switch, maybe that is the problem. Anyone know? Thanks.

Here you go. First '97, then '98. Since I don't know what you did, it's hard to say what the issue is.

Did you try to use a digital switch in an analog unit? Because that would be a whole different thing. The '99 manual has a lever for the fan. The digital did not exist in '98, but it did in '99. I can give you the '00 digital diagram, which would be the same as the '99 digital, I think. But those units would be very hard to adapt to a manual. I don't even want to think about it if I don't have to.

Thank you very much. They are both the lever style fan switches (analog). I'll take a look at the diagrams when I get home from work to see if I can find out whats different.

The terminals are different, but the wires are the same. So you just need to move the wires around. You'll need to completely repin that switch plug. None of them match.

I'd love to know what engineer decided to do that as it should make no difference in function.
