Fast Turn Signal Blink After Installing AOR Bumper

I just installed my Addicted Offroad front bumper and wired up the turn signals. Now they blink like crazy and it's driving me nuts.

After doing some searching, I found an old thread from 2008 when Scotty from AOR mentioned that he had a link to a certain type of relay that you could swap out for the OEM one which would solve the quick blinking issue.

Anyone know what relay he may have been taking about or if there is a better way to go about this?

The turn signals are also pretty dim.. Thinking about swapping the bulb out for a LED but I'm going to run into the same issue with that.

I just bought one of these because I was going to switch over to LEDs. Where is the damned thing located? I have the interior torn apart right now to do some electrical work, and I assumed it was behind the kick panel on the driver's side, but I didn't see it anywhere. I was going to search, but since this was at the top of the page I figured I would just be lazy and ask! :flipoff:

The LED type are much brighter than the halogens and will drop right into the same grommet and have the same type of plug. So that's what I'd do if I were you. And the Tridon flasher will solve the fast blinking problem, you just have to unbolt the fuse block that's behind the dash panel and the flasher is on top of it.

The lights are sold separate but he does offer them. Mine are more white and bright. There bumper just has the holes and can mount what ever you want.

I got the signals that Scott offers with his bumpers. Most everyone else's seem to be clear, but mine are a solid amber. They are LED, and they are definitely bright.

Weird, my amber casings came with halogen bulbs.. Scott must just send out whatever he can get his hands on at the moment. Definitely going to have to swap them out for LEDs.

I didn't have to unbolt the panel. I just laid on my back with my head against the pedals. I left the hazards on so I could feel which relay it was and was able to take out the old and pop in the new.

JayRolla- per your direction from this post, I ordered the Tridon EP35 from your link as I purchased an AOR plate with the LED turn signals. What I received was an EP35 from Novita. Will this be an issue-or should I contact Amazon to see why an EP35 from another company was delivered? I'd rather take care of this before the bumper shows up.

Assuming there's a specific issue with flashers other than the Tridon?

I've heard others have issues. Read through that thread to get as much info as you can and make your own call on how you want to proceed.

Appreciate the feedback! I hate returning stuff, so I'm going to give this one a shot when the bumper arrives. I can always run over to Autozone and get a Tridon if it doesn't work.

Update- installed the Novita this evening. Works perfectly! It also maintains the same sound as the old Denso-which is different from what I've heard about the Tridon.

Now the winch needs to be wired up. I have to figure out how to bend the contactor mount to make it fit between the grille and bumper. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
