If you're running the GP in the cab, you can get a longer power cord then have it plugged in the entire trip without having to worry about the battery.
I typically run it on the bumper.

Yep. I've been thinking about that. Do you have any issues (roll, etc.) with your height when you've got a lot of weight up top? (RTT, water container, etc.) Or any binding?
I'm not likely to touch my height issue this year (I've got electric to sort out), and I know part of my answer will be going up to 35s, but I'll still need at least an inch after that.

Damn! That is beast! Miah Oneluv13T4R tried to get me to go down it and I was to chicken chit! I would have broke something...haha
Might try 4low next time. Hahahah. That was a lot of wheel spinning. That's awesome. That point at 1:47 where Miah is going 'nonononono' and the 4runner goes *thud* is my favorite though I think 2:24 is where the slider got bent up.
I love my wife's balls.
I'm sad I missed that part, I would have done it.Damn! That is beast! Miah Oneluv13T4R tried to get me to go down it and I was to chicken chit! I would have broke something...haha

No issues at all ...and also to note which might trip you out I don't have front or rear sway bars on my rig completely disconnected along with my height and the suspension options we were discussing. No body roll, no binding issues and I load my rig down heavily for runs, camping etc. my rig height empty with no gear, no bumper, spare,hi lift, cargo drawer system and bed platform ..etc my front measures at 42.5" from ground to top of wheel fender and my rear is 41.5". All suspension and tire lift (285/75/16) no BL etc.
Completely weighed down my front is 41.75 .75 to .5 loss in height and the rear is 39.25 -39.5 I loss 1.50 - 2.00 in ride height but that also shifts my center of gravity with the uneven weight distribution caused by loss of lift. Shifting all my weight to the rear of the rig which I can feel when wheeling and approach things a little different when wheeling. Sometimes it's like pulling a dropped anchor when going uphill, or on slanted roads, over obstacles to get that heavy ass up.
I'm gonna be adding rear shock hoop mounts and shocks to help support the weight and gain more down and upward travel and then see about going to a heavy load rear 3" lift Spring which only two have been made directly for our rigs outside of my 3.5" lift spring ..but have heard mixed reviews and show the same results as to what I already have. The other option was like what we were discussing going heavy on a shorter lift spring but adding a 3"lift spacer to suck up the loss and sag from a 3.5" lift spring by creating less spring sag which equals less loss in height.
And slap on some 35's which I could do now no problem and call it a day but want to get the rear straightened out, or I should say up and stable. Lol
Just my .02
Heh. Left a little paint, but truthfully took harder hits other places in the trail.
Hehe. Yeah. Honestly, it was the first time she's done anything like this. Had 4-Lo and the rear locker engaged, but I'm definitely thinking a front locker is going to be needed some point. Well, that and a lot more practice.
Interesting. I thought some of the stuff I had read was concerned about stress on the CV axle with going that high. Are you still using OEM axles? Or maybe I'm confusing how you have your setup with something else. In any case, I'll probably keep bugging you about this from time to time until I get my setup figured out, so thanks for all the info.

Looked like she was in 4hi the way she launched backwards.
He's 2wd. No CV axles.

Haha well this outta confuse you some more cause, I don't know what this CV axle and OEM axle are that you speak of ?
Oh? I thought all 4th gen 4runners had CV axles in front? Of course trusting websites that are trying to sell me something is not usually the best option... Still, can you link anything that talks about the differences?
OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer, so in this case whatever parts toyota used initially.
CV axles are what I have, and what I thought you had-something like these: Duralast Reman CV Axle 10298 - Read 1 Reviews on Duralast Reman #10298

Lol. Thanx brotha. I know what they are I was just messing with you telling you in other words I'm 2wd and I don't have CV axles cause I don't have a transfer case , front diff, etc. cv axles are what supply your front tires the traction needed to move over obstacles. Since only power is supplied to my 2 rear tires which creates/gives the moving momentum for my front tires forward and reverse. No traction or power is supplied to my front tires they only roll that's it.

2wd = no transfer case = no cv axles. CV axles are the axles that run the front wheels in 4wd.
Maxtrac spindles, 4" lift in front without spacers. I know, I question it every time I see it because he's so much taller than I am, haha. His lack of body roll is amazing too, mines like off roading on a water bed.Hmm. That sounds like the answer for how he can be so tall (suspension lift+spacer lift) and have no issues with binding. Does that sound right to you?
