Favorite Flashlights

Over the years I have had a number of 'flashlights'.
Have to say my favorite so far is the Fenix PD35 TAC.

What do the rest of you use?

I'm a big flash light nerd and always have at least two in my car.

My favorite headlamp is the SkilHunt H03 in Neutral White. Love all the different brightness modes. The magnet in the end is useful for a variety of purposes. Anything from sublumen to a claimed 1200. Use it for everything from hiking or working on the 4runner to random headlamp dance parties. If I could only pick one light to have with me it'd be this one due to how versatile it is.

My favorite hand held light is my Manker U11 also with a NW emitter. It's not a popular light but I love the form factor and really like the built in USB charging. Throws light a lot further than my headlamp so I frequently use the two together on hikes. Headlamp for up close and the Manker for spotting things further away.

I'm currently lusting after the Emisar D4. I'm really impressed with how much light that thing can put out in such a small package. Plus it doubles as a hand warmer.

My first awesome flashlight I ever bought is a Fenix LD20. Stays in the 4Runner with Eneloop batteries and lasts forever. I actually used this one in the Philippines as a headlight for my uncle's jeep since the headlights weren't working. We used it alllllllllll the way down a mountain lol. It was awesome.

I like the momentary feature, but not impressed with the light and the switch has its unreliable moments.

My Olight S10R stays in my pocket a lot since I get off work at midnight. I love the size and the magnetic tailcap.

And a little Lumintop keychain flashlight on my keys.

That's a good call with the eneloops. I currently keep a Nitecore HC30 in the glove box and I worry about how resilient that 18650 battery is with the crazy temperature swings in the car.

The last thing I want a is a pipebomb going off in my glovebox.

I've been eyeing those olights for a long time. One of these days I'll pick one up as a pocket light. For now I have a Nitecore Tube on the keychain and it does well for what it is... only problem is I've put one too many burn holes in my jacket pockets with it.

Leaning towards the olight S1R
 
nitecore p25 and also the p12gt, the p12gt is much easier to carry in my pocket.

I have a few Surefires that I spent way too much money on back in the day. My new favorite company is Thrunite. I have the TN4A and it has been flawless. I want flashlights now with normal batteries. I bought everyone a Thrunite for Christmas and they have worked perfectly. I also have the TH20 headlamp. Just great products. Try them you won't be disappointed. I really like the Maglite ML300L 3-cell LED flashlight. Puts out a huge amount of bright white light, and lasts a long time on a single set of batteries.
 
Hatori 18650

They are cheap, very bright for the size. I have about 6 of them now around the house and in each vehicle. I keep them in the center console and have never had battery problems hot or cold.

I do not use the supplied chargers. I have a good Intellicharger.
 
I keep a 4Sevens Quark in my vehicles. I also carry a 4Sevens Atom with headlamp attachment.

I carry these as they both can use the same AA batteries. I keep a few extra in the car just in case.

Amazing light for the money. Easily best in class. Plus you can customize what LED's it comes with which is nice.

The Nichia has the best color rendition but are a bit less efficient. So more heat and slightly lower max output vs the other leds.

The XP-G2 is a good all around LED. Good efficiency. Good output.

The XPL-HI has the best throw out of the bunch. The D4 is already a pretty floody light so this will help you get some more light a little further.

Pick your poison.
 
I used to be a flashlight nerd also and frequent cpf a lot! My favorite all around flashlight for me is a G body surefire with a Malkoff head.
 
That Fenix PD35 is insanely bright. 5 settings. The brightest you can actually feel the heat 10 to 12 inches away. Its blinding if you use it up close.

My EDC light is a Surefire G2X pro. Love it. Beat it to shit every single day and it just keeps going.

I've got one of their Dominators as well. That sucker is freaking bright and seconds as a brutal striking weapon.

I have a streetlight The Siege for my go to lantern. Keep one in each vehicle for emergencies and one is always in the camping gear and one in the closet for power outages.

Head lamp is a surefire Saint Minimus M. And I also have a bunch of cheap headlamps in each vehicle and a few here and there in the garage, basement, etc for easy use when doing maintenance and projects.

I prefer a surefire X300 for a weapons light. Tried a bunch but I like it the best.
 
I like my Fenix UC35 and HL60R both 5 years old still hold charge very well.
Where ever I have a USB port, solar charger I'm covered.
