Yes, they take a long time but they have been nothing but great with customer support for me and this is my second purchase from them and the finished product is worth it.

Orders from this group buy started shipping last week. We quote a lead time and try our best to stick to it. Sometimes things happen, parts get misplaced and orders get bumped back a bit, but in the case of this group buy everything seems to be on track!
With the exception of 2 orders, which are at the powder-coat shop, all orders are in the warehouse at this point and shipping a day at a time along with our other usual orders.

Well this is my first post, I have been lurking the FJ and 4runner forums for months now. Well I just bought a 2014 4runner SR5 and need some rock rails. I have decided to the shrockworks brand of rock sliders. I talked to shrockworks, so usual 10% for 10 people in on the group buy and 15% for 15 people ordering from Toyota session.
Put your name on the list and when we hit 15 confirmed orders, we can execute the group buy.

We did have one guy sneak in on the group buy with a 2014. He placed his order when it was still in the prototype stage so we decided to let it roll but told him that it might miss the Group Buy deadline.
That being said, the first production 2014 bumper was sent to the powder coat shop early this week. Hopefully he will be able to get some installed pics back to us soon.
Got my sliders installed last weekend. Took me a while, but it went fairly smooth until I got to the upper bolt of the driver side rear mount (which, of course, was the last bolt that I needed to get in).
Had to use a sticknut here, because the holes weren't threaded. I got the bolt into the nut okay, but as i was tightening the bolt, I didn't realize that at some point (before it was tight) the nut started spinning with the bolt. This caused the handle of the sticknut to start twisting around the nut and the handle got pulled away from my hand and is now inside the frame, semi-twisted around the nut. So right now, I have no way of tightening that bolt, nor can I loosen it to free it of the nut in order to get it out.
@<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.toyota-4runner.org/members/txbxsx.html" target="_blank">TxBxSx</a> or anyone else, do you have any recommendations? I'm going to get some extra long needle nose pliers and see if I can grab hold of anything through the access hole, but I'm not too optimistic about that. Right now I think one of my only options may be to cut the head of the bolt off and do it over again (I have some sticknuts left over). Of course, I'm not going to do that unless I am absolutely sure I can recover the nut/sticknut that is inside of the frame.
I may try to just pull the head of the bolt toward me while tightening it to get the nut to be against the frame. Maybe the friction of the nut against the frame will allow me to tighten the bolt, but I don't know. I'm also going to borrow a borescope we have at work so I can get a better look at the situation inside the frame.
Also, FYI, I had to trim some metal off of the sticknut around the nut (not the nut itself, obviously). It was too wide to fit into the access hole of the frame as it was. I don't know if the access hole is smaller on 2014s or if that's the way it's always been, but I just wanted to let you know.

Ive done this a time or two myself. Once that tab gets sucked in it's hard to get it back. If you can get an impact on it it will usually spin it back fast enough to get the bolt loose, but you'll have to leave the stick nut behind in the frame rail unless you want to try and fish it out through one of the large holes on the inside of the frame rail(usually capped with a plastic cap.

Ok first things first: I tried to google sticknut and I DEFINITELY didn't get the results that I was looking for.
Second: I had a very similar problem when I tried to install my CBI rear, there were threaded spots to install to but they were so gummed up that they snapped off when trying to bolt in. It left me with a similar situation as you. I ended up having to cut the bolt in half, then fished the nut end out with an earth magnet attached to the end of a fish tape.
To fasten a new bolt on I ended up sticking a flange bolt to the magnet and used the fish tape to hold it in place while I got the bolt started. Once it was in, I pulled the bolt head outwards to put pressure on the nut inside and kept fastening down until it held on it's own.
Haha. This is probably what you were looking for. Shrockworks' stick nuts are a slightly different, but the same concept. If this had happened on the passenger side I don't think I'd have a problem, because one of the large access holes on the inside of the frame rail is right in the same location. Unfortunately on the driver side, the fuel tank is there blocking that access hole, and that's not really something I want to take out.
