Feeler: 3rd Gen Mini H1 Retrofit

This a feeler thread to see if anyone is interested in my Mini H1 retrofitted headlights. I just completed this, but the retrofit bug has caught me and I want brighter!!!!

Specs:
OEM 2000 Headlights with Black Housings
Mini H1 Projectors with Mini Gatling Gun Shrouds Painted Black
Morimoto 5000k Bulbs
Morimoto 3Five Ballasts or unknown brand ballasts
TRS H4 Harness

The housing and shrouds have been painted black with high temp paint. The glass isn't perfect as it has been used for the past 12 years on my 4runner. I'm not comfortable cleaning them up, but I'm sure it could be done.

Unfortunately during reassembly I got some glue on the housing of one of the headlights. It's not visible from head on, but can be seen if directly in front of the headlight. The other side has a tiny bit of glue showing. I don't notice it anymore and it's really only when you are right in front that it is visible. It does not effect anything. Also one of the H4 harness connections is loose, but I put some electrical tape on and no issues since. I can get a new harness if anyone is concerned.

I also chipped parts of the glass when removing the glass. It isn't visible at all when installed, but something to note.

I also have two sets of ballasts. One is a set of Morimoto 3Five Ballasts and the other is an unknown brand. I can included either one, but prices will vary.

I'm thinking $250 with the unknown ballasts or $300 with the Morimoto ballasts. Located in Santa Cruz, CA and I will ship, but I prefer local since they are quite big.

These headlights look great and perform amazingly, I just want more light. I know they have a lot of issues, but they were my first set and it's mostly small aesthetics, that don't have any effect on the output. I'm not 100% sure I want to do this and I need to decide by Monday 2pm PST.

Besides the comsmetic defects have you had any issues with the morimoto ballasts or bulbs? And damages to the projector glass?

I have another local interested as well. I will let you know what happens. Where in the Bay Area are you located?

No issues so far. I haven't gotten the Morimoto ballasts yet, but they will be here Monday. I don't forsee any issues at all with them though. The current ballasts work fine, but I wanted to upgrade. The bulbs work just fine as well. There is no damage at all to the projectors.

These will in fact be up for sale as long as something major doesn't happen. They won't be available for a little bit though since I'm waiting on my other lights and parts, so probably closer to the mid-end December. If anyone is interested in buying now or putting a down payment to reserve them that is fine with me. I installed the Morimoto ballasts today and it might just be me hoping, but I felt there was a difference in light output. Just to throw that out there.
