Fender Flare-AM Slim type

Hey guys I am new to the site, searched the forums and cant seem to figure out if there is a company out there that makes slim replacement fender flares...i love the way the 4runners look with no flares or the clip on black/chrome ones....
in my search for my 4runner, I am down to 3 of them, 1 has no flares the other 2 have the thicker SR5 flares(None of the 3 are limited)
i know bushwacker and xenon make some replacements but I don't care for the those ones, so my question is- is there a company that makes a slim fender flare, one that would basically just fill in the holes in the body...
why is it so hard to find a 4WD SR5 with no flares or the thin black/chrome clip on ones? Thanks
Steve

I have an SR5 4x4 with the slim ones and had the unfortunate task of having to replace one. Bought mine from dealer for around 115 I believe, just for one. I searched around and that was the best I could do. If you're interested in those stock ones PM me and I'll dig up the part numbers for them. Also, they're a pain to install and don't come with the clips, so keep that in mind as well.

Thin black and chrome fender trim....

If you're looking for thin fender trim as seen on my SR5 4x4, PM me....

Sorry guys I guess I confused some people...

What I mean is, if I buy a 4runner with the OEM Flares that use the clips through the holes in the fenders and doors, is there a replacement one that will screw into those holes to cover them up, but are just not as thick as the OEM ones...the ones posted above are the ones that clip on, I am talking about replacing those huge ones that bolt on with something way thinner so that it looks almost naked with no flares at all...does that make sense? lol sorry...basically i love the look of the naked trucks with no flares at all...

i am wondering if I can replace these thick flares with something slim...does that make sense?lol
this silver one has 84kmiles clean carfax for same price...both are 2002s...wish they were 96-98s cause i like those bumpers best
let me know thanks guys

Are you buying this to do 4x4 or just daily drive? The one with the bigger flares also has bigger tires and wheels, so if you were going for 4wd i would get that, assuming it has 4wd.

Uhh clean car fax? Ask why the passenger door has been replaced / resprayed in a totally different color?

Also no, the bigger limited/sport flares, look at the mud flaps / bumpers, it all ties in together.

mostly drive around, maybe a little offroading....not too worried about the wheel and tire size cause eventually I will buy something bigger anyway...thanks for the help

I got ya.....I think.

As far as covering the holes remaining from removing the SR5 or Limited flares, I have not seen an aftermarket cover up of sorts.

As you realize, there will be few holes which would require body work to patch and then repaint to match decades old paint. Left unattended the exposed holes could allow egress of foreign corrosive material between the interior/exterior skins.

Now I went the opposite route from thin fender trim to adding Bushwacker flares. So I made holes....a bunch of them.... Lol

Good luck with your selection both look great. Both are about due for water pump replacement.

Get the one with the bigger tires for sure, mine originally had the small tires and they sucked. And now that i have the bigger 26570r16s the gearing is off and its slower than it used to be. Also the pricing seems really high.

Thanks for the help.

I've also started to like the clean look of the flareless 4Runners. I have the thin SR5 flares, and have been considering removing them when I take the running boards off.

I think you should go for the one without flares. It looks clean to me, and you can always switch out your wheels and tires in the future, as you mentioned you would do.
