Fender liners on the cheap

What can I fabricate some fender liners out of so that they'll last a while?

Mine are toast.

Anyone have access to a template for the 4 pieces?

I got an aftermarket steel bumper and where the plastic liner met the front bumper was hacked out by the person who made the bumper. I'm really just looking for a good material to use to fill in the gap. I've read cut up trash cans and roofing tape but there has to be something better than that junk. Any suggestions?

The cloth/rubber mat that comes with a treadmill. The mat that goes on the floor under the tread mill or the belt material it self. Nice tough and flexible.

I have a few sheets of EPDM which is the rubber roof membrane used on flat roofs. I have the templates and plan on using it to make new liners. EPDM is the perfect thickness and very tough and long lasting. Just waiting on warmer weather to do it.
