Fender protector removal

So i looked and I couldn't find anything about this. My covers are in need of paint and a rock removal job. Is there a way to remove these? And put them back on without messing them up? If so can somebody give me a pretty good idea of how to? Thanks!!

You cant tell by looking at the thing? it couldnt be attached THAT well....... could it? And why do you want to remove it?

On the puckups, they just snap in. Take off the rear fender liner and see if you can locate where they go through..

I wanna take it off to paint them they are faded from where the running boards were. And the passenger side one has rust above it so i wanna take the measures to prevent it from spreading. In the fender well it has three screws holding it on but i don't know what holds the rest of it on and i don't wanna go screwing something up. thanks
