Few Questions!

Hello all,

I have had my tires rebalanced and took out most of the vibration. Running 17x9 Pro Comp 7031 and Nitto Trail Grappler 285/70/17. Still shakes between 40 and 60ish. I used the search tool and read about hub centric rings and am pretty sure this is my issue with my Pro Comp wheels. The bore on the wheels is 108 while on my hub its 106 correct(08 SR5)? What size hub rings would I need? My next question is if I get Spidertrax or Allpro 1.25" spacers would that solve my issue since they are hub centric? Been wanting a wider stance anyway. Last question is does anyone run 17x9 -6 offset wheels and 1.25" spacers? If so other than a body mount chop what modifications were necessary? Running Toytec Ultimate 3" lift and with current set up I didn't have to do the body mount chop just moved the fender liners forward and trimmed bottom inside of bumper a bit. Sorry for the novel, thanks in advance!

So does anyone know if the spacers will help with the vibration? Or anyone running 17x9 -6 offset and spacers? Someone on here is selling brand new spidertrax for less than retail so If they'll work for me I'll buy them! Help please!

Spacers won't help unless you get the hub centering rings too since the hub on the spacer is the same as the truck. Also fitting 1.5" spacers will be a challenge with that low of an offset. I tried and had to hammer pinch welds flat, took a lot off the body mount and was gonna have to cut a lot off the bumper and fender flare so I took them off.

Figured as much, I'll just try the hub centric rings and see if it works for me. I would like my tires to stick out a bit more but I'm about a 1/2" outside fender, I can live with it as long as the vibration goes away! Thanks for your reply.

Centering rings are key to the wheel being properly centered/supported on the hub which yields smooth running performance. Go back to where ever you got the wheels and get the centering rings. I can't believe they sold you wheels without the proper rings if the bore was not the same as stock.

I went through Discount Tire. Same thing I thought once I knew it needed them. I'll drop by today and see what they have to say. How much do they run? Obviously not an exact amount but a ballpark? Thanks.

Ebg18t did you get my pm?

I just got back from fishing, gotta love Tarpon season.

The rings are just a couple bucks. Fur gyre $10 out the door, Discount is usually very good about this situation. You can probably get them fir free as they should have come with the wheels.
