That looks awesome man. Great job on the valence. Original and clean

I'm wondering how I'll end up doing that. I picked up some Hella 500's and was going to mount them on the top of my bumper and my wife said absolutely not, so I asked if the valence was okay and she said alright. haha

Thanks for the props man! BTW, your's should turn out nice, just take your time, and start cutting little by little! I made the mistake of cutting too much at once, and ended up having to use the Margerine containers! HA HA! It all worked out in the end, just not what I was planning!

So, I couldn't wait for Spring weather to get here, and decided to put my mud tires back on! I'll just drive the truck on days where the roads are not invaded with salt!

Gonna polish up the wheels today, and post an updated pic of the truck....ALL CLEANED UP!

Bighorns!!

So, after a couple of hours of work, Mean Green has it's Mud Tires and Alloys back on!

Here's a before shot in my driveway:

Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ 245/70/16's

Here's the after shot in my driveway:

Maxxis Bighorn MT's 285/75/16's

It's hard to see, but the wheel on the left is polished the one on the right, is simply cleaned:

I used the Mother's Power Ball with some "Autosol" metal polish to get the wheels back to their original luster.

Thanks guys! I'm really digging the look of my new front end! Wasn't sure about the clear lenses for he signal lights, (thought, maybe too much chrome in the front??), but really like the look now!

Now working on either getting one of those Aluminum Tacoma Skid plates or fabricating one out of steel and clear coating it.....Just find the bottom a little bare, withougt my old Safari Bar up front....

Safari bar.. that's it! That's another reason why it looks so much better now, no damage multiplier!

Might I suggest some shackles? The Tacoma skid is purely for looks, IMO a little tacky. It's just something else to bang up on the trail and it messes up your approach angle.

The shackles, they look good and provide a function if you ever need to be helped out of a situation. Even if you don't use them, I have a little more piece of mind in mods if they're functional.

Your call. I have a pic of my shackles before I got the powdercoated ones, they tie into the chrome well and make the bottom a little more complete.

If you're not familiar with this, Get some mounts from legocken

Get a 3/4 D-ring shackle and mount up!

I used "Autosol" it's a metal polish from Germany...i think. I've been using this stuff for years, First 2 tubes were given to me, and I just bought my 1st tube yesterday. You should be able to get it at Auto Supply stores, but don't bother looking at Canadian Tire, because they don't carry it. (at least not here)

It's a paste that you simply dab on the piece you're working on. I then use a Mother's Powerball with my Drill and go to town. Works great!

Hmm I thought I'd heard of this product before, and they also have different product lines, dont' they?, I'll try and and see if I can find it round here.

My wheels are needing much attention as of late, gonna have to bring them back up to shine.

Haha, I saw your pictures in the picture thread, and thought to myself, "man, I love that fact that he went with a nice clean stock front end, it looks so nice....I'll go post in his build thread that I like the front end"

Then I get in here and see that like 8 people have said the same thing. I guess it's the popular thing to say.
