Fightman's Build Thread

Looks awesome fightman. By the way, are your step tubes the factory Toyota ones? I know they put them on some runners right out of the factory rather than running boards.

I think a satoshi grille would look really good on that. It is looking better every time you post!

The new plate looks good. Purely aesthetic, but a nice very touch.

Thanks for the feedback Nelson! I'll tell you the truth, I'm really not a huge fan of the Satoshi Grill Mod.....In fact, the only Satoshi I like is the one Blcktpgsr did with the lights in the grill...

Taylor: My nerf bars are made by Westin, I've had them on for about 5 years now. They are made of steel, and coated with Chrome. I personally like them alot, but they are not very functional for off-roading. Like I said before, I'm not a hardcore wheeler, so they work just fine for me as a step, and something shiny mounted on the side of my rig! :lookout:

Skid plate

Fightman just have to say that your truck looks awesome! And great call on stripping the paint on the skid plate. What a difference! Geez you're starting to get my gears going lol!

Looks real good! I like how you got it nice and tight with the bumper, and it doesn't hang down too low. Great idea on mounting it directly to the other skidplate too.

I seems strange that part of your truck used to be on my truck, yet we're so far away from eachother. Now I am going to freak out every time I see pics of your truck.

Thanks for the comments guys! I've always liked the Sport Edition Skid...just wanted to put my spin on it! lol!

Funny you say that...I've got another guys Tundra assemblies and LC Coils too....the LC Coils, I got from a fellow Off-road club member here in town! I guess you can say, my truck gets the hand-me-downs! HA HA HA!

That being said....I'm looking for a front "T" logo that is in near perfect condition that someone may have removed to do the Satoshi Grill Mod....and will fit on my grill.....anyone have one?? HA HA!

That's a very unique front end game you've got going there Fightman! I like it it. You have found a way to make your 4Runner one of a kind, which is always cool to see.

When you said you were getting just the skid with no mounting brackets, I was curious to see how you were going to make it work. I'd seen 4-Ripcord's with the stock brackets and figured it'd be a challenge without having the brackets.

But... you made short work of that job. Good work! :thumb3:

your Runner is same color as mine...love this color. I noticed your wheels too, same ones I was looking at last night. Are they Mickey Thompson brand?

Thanks for the comment man! She's my baby! HA HA! Just finished repairing the rear coolant lines that run to the rear heater today.....now just have to refill my cooling system!

hey fightman those light mods look wicked!!! did you use Becel containers ? :P JK looks good man, i think i may just bolt my PIAA's to the top,
where in ontario are you from? I'm originally from Scarborough, before moving to Fort MC

Becel Margerine container they were! HA HA! I'm from North Eastern Ontario, a City called Sudbury. Well, sort of.....I'm actually in a train town called Capreol, it's part of the Greater City of Sudbury. About 5 hours North of Toronto....

Your lights will look great on the top too! Anxious to see how that turns out!

dude wtf is all that stuff you need to pressure wash your bottom:biggrin2::toilet:

I like hearing all the comments from all you Cali guys! HA HA HA! I coat the undercarriage with oil and grease in order to avoid costly repairs. Frame rot, and axle rot is common around here, and last thing I want to deal with is a rear axle replacement!

In a perfect world, I wouldn't have to do this, but I'd rather spray the undercarriage than have it look like swiss cheese! lol!

Besides, I don't spend all day under the truck and looking at the undercarriage....I look at the body!

Well, it was Mother's Day today, and it gave me a chance to go spend time with my Mom and Dad at our family farm. Decided, since 3/4 of the group went for a walk, I'd take the opportunity to have a little photo session!

That's about it. I wanted to take some pics of it by the old barn, but the ground is pretty soggy....and didn't want to chance tearing up my dad's field...ha ha ha! He would kill me! :boxer:

Great pictures! Best ones I have seen of your 4runner so far. It is a gorgeous machine.

I really like that first one. The overhead view is neat.
